Taking pages from the Book of Malkmus, it’s the right mix of energy and nonchalance needed to draw the audience closer. News: 'It's Over': Grinderman Call It Quits ..Nick Cave has called time on Grinderman, the sleazy rock outfit formed with fellow Bad Seeds Warren Ellis, Martyn Casey and Jim Sclavunos in 2006. Cave announced the group would be disbanding after a typically brutal late night set at the Meredith Music Festival in rural Victoria on Saturday night (December 10). “That’s it for Grinderman,” he told the more than 12,000 festival-goers. “It’s over. Was, wenn der Weggang von Bassist Mathias Kelson nun weniger unterhaltsame Publikums- und Innerband-Kabbeleien der verbalen Art bedeutet? Na gut, vielleicht hat sich auch musikalisch was geändert wo die Band nun zum festen Quartett angewachsen ist.
