Hear White Arrows' 'Psychotropical' 'Firewor ..White Arrows invented a genre tag for themselves so nerds like us wouldn't have to: "psychotropical." There's poetry in knowing yourself. The Los Angeles fivesome indeed puree a slew of equatorial guitar sounds and rhythms and textures, which combined, bridge the gap between Collective">Animal Collective and Foreign Born. "Fireworks of the Sea" is an early listen from their debut EP of the same name. It's due April 3 via Votiv Music, with a full-length on the way. After noticing a headline on Pitchfork yesterday saying that Diplo, Usher, Redd Stylez, Ariel Rechtshaid and Nico Muhly were collaborating on a song, I thought I had to have my eyes checked. This may be one of the most random (and epic) collaborations I’ve heard of in awhile. Foreign Born - Keep It In MindForeign Born’s Person to Person remains a perennial summer favorite around these parts. Sadly, it does not look like we will be seeing a follow up to that record anytime soon. Secretly Canadian, the bands label, is reporting that the band will be going on indefinite hiatus as the members focus on other projects.
