Vivir al diaAnna Domino Land of My Dreams Aretha Franklin Land of Dreams I was anticipating Beach House 's latest album Bloom to be another stunning achievement, deeply affecting and moving, etc, having enthusiastically loved their prior output... But no such luck. I didn't loathe it, but just as with the most recent Destroyer album, it went in one ear and out the other. Neither colourless nor terrible, just workmanlike. Beach House - Live At Village Underground, L ..On the day Beach House take to the stage in London, they reach number seven in the US Billboard for new album ‘Bloom’, tucked neatly between ‘Now 42’ and something by those Glee people. It also reaches number one in the independent charts Across the Atlantic, in a disused tube depot that has been baking in the sun all day, they play to a sell-out crowd, who snapped up tickets for this special Village Underground night in about an hour. Bullion - 'Love Me Oh Please Love Me' (R&S) .."It's all in sound" cries the first track on Bullion's mini-album, a weirdly prescient declaration of exactly what this record does best. It's the non-verbal where Bullion's genius really comes to the fore. Only recently has the producer ventured into putting his own voice down on tracks, with previous vocal-laden single 'Say Arr Ee', released on the mighty R&S.; It's an approach that's worked well for other electronic artists, James Blake being an obvious example.
