What happens when two underrated bands with megaton riffs and hoots and hollers collide? This remix of the Joy Formidable's "Cradle" by Fang Island, who turn the song into a poppy, stomping jam that sounds like a mix from DJ Hero 2. It's a rare remix that welds two bands' sensibilities to each other for great results.  Joy Formidable's The Big More EP is due out on Oct 17. [ A Heart is a Spade ]

We're about 90% sure that if you were to google ' Fang Island ' you'd be confronted with about 10 pages of people smiling, or an article from The Onion explaining that Fang Island have never ever cried/been sad, and that Andrew W.K. is their father. That's how positive this band are. We're not entirely sure how this remix came about, but with their smiles seeping through every single pore in this track, they certainly made it work.
