Roomrunner - RoomrunnerWhen Double Dagger broke up I didn’t really give much thought to the sort of groups that would form in the wake of it. I figured members would splinter off and start similar bands, in the way that typically seems to happen. It never once crossed my mind that something like Roomrunner would be the next step, but apparently for Denny Bowen it was the way to go. A band that has no problem with reaching back into the bountiful heyday of 90’s grungy/alterna-rock airwaves. Woollen KitsWoollen Kits are a three piece band from Melbourne, Australia. The trio has sprung out of the garage with their self-titled debut album, released via Sydney, Australia's R.I.P Society record label. Its nine primitive, gritty guitar tunes straddle surf pop, proto-punk and garage rock. The album was mastered by Mikey Young, guitarist for Aussie favorites Eddy Current Suppression Ring and member of the garage four-piece Ooga Boogas , whose debut album never leaves my side. Rising from the ashes of that band is Roomrunner , a new project from DD drummer Denny Bowen.
