Think Electric President , but less…electric. So, President…but less political. Whatever, don’t think, just listen. Very natural, chill, and soothing. Give each track your full attention. These songs are subtle and need time that is definitely worth investing. Mixtape # 19 / June 2011 / June Gloom Mix ..Yeap. June gloom time is here. Well sort of. And the mix is most likely not gloomy at all. An old tune by Electric President , and even older tune by Blur of their (in my humble opinion) underrated Think Tank album. Pretty interesting track from A Lull and even more interesting preview of the new John Maus album. Her Vanished Grace sneaks up to you with a very nostalgic track, sounds like a mutant child of Catherine Wheel and Ride . More organic mood gains momentum with Family Portrait and Woods . Finals put every college kid's life on hold.* Black Milk Born Curtis Cross, Black Milk is a hip-hop artist out of Detroit, Michigan who's really making a huge impact on the rap scene. Cross uses fairly simple lyrics, but has a flow comparable to Lupe Fiasco. Unfortunately the audio quality of his songs previous to his latest solo album is pretty poor for a rapper as well know in the underground Detriot rap world as Black Milk.
