Bok Bok "Dance Report"In the late '00s, Sistema">Buraka Som Sistema introduced much of the world to the energetic Angolan sounds of kuduro (which translates literally as "hard ass"), most notably with the release of its seminal album Black Diamond in 2008. Since then, the Portuguese outfit has put plenty of its own spin on the genre, and has actively encouraged other producers to cross-pollinate diverse types of dance music such as baile funk, tropical bass, cumbia, and of course house, bass, and techno. ALBUM REVIEW: Pnau 'Unite Us' out 19 Februar ..Bog standard manu(factured) pop electro from Pnau. Was expecting more and It's a let down. The original is redeemed (as is this single release) by a great garage remix from Douster & Savage Skulls. Wookie tries his best to make something listen-able and nearly succeeds. Raffertie made some industrial thing that although unusable in any normal environment might provide a useful soundtrack for the next instalment of the Blade franchise, if there ever is one. Douster Launches Record Label, Offers a New ..French producer and occasional ZZK affiliate Douster is launching a new record label called BeBup with long-time friend Benjamin "Blanco" Collet (pictured above with Douster). With an ear toward musical diversity, the pair plans to focus on giving opportunities to unknown producers and allowing more-experienced artists the chance to experiment freely. The label's first release, No Future , is by young French producer Roma and comes out in January.
