Cinema Preview: Six Films To See In May 2012 ..Words: Saam Das As ever, there are some dubious movies out this month, with 'Piranha 3DD' (11 May) and 'American Pie: Reunion' (2 May) being the main offenders. Sacha Baron Cohen 's latest effort 'The Dictator' (16 May) may flatter to deceive, despite an effective marketing campaign. Girls Announce New Single "Lawrence"Following the release of their BNM'd album Father, Son, Holy Ghost , Girls have announced a new single, "Lawrence", out November 28 in the UK and December 6 in the US. The song was "written and recorded as a gift to Lawrence Hayward ," frontman for the cult band Felt, Denim, and Go-Kart Mozart. Film Review: Lawrence Of Belgravia [London F ..'Lawrence Of Belgravia' (UK Release: TBC) // Words: Saam Das Did you love Felt ? Enjoy Denim ? Then you may well be rather enamoured with Paul Kelly 's documentary exploring the never-ending quest for fame of the lead singer of both those bands, Lawrence Hayward . Unfortunately, for newcomers, like myself, 'Lawrence Of Belgravia' can be more effort than it's worth. For everyone, it's a cautionary tale regarding hopes, dreams and self-worth. Monday's newcomersStockholm's Moofish Catfish have been over in the UK for the last couple of weeks, spreading yet another ray of delightfulness-driven Swedish pop. Melodic old swoonsome yearning is pretty much the starting point here, not so delicate that they crumble upon touch but possessing that chiming, timeless quality, slightly woozily retro, occasionally pleasingly fuzzy and falling-over and imbued with much of Those Dancing Days' joie de vivre without sounding that much like them.
