Liars have unveiled a track from their forthcoming new album, WIXIW , and it sounds like Danny Elfman if he was given something half decent to soundtrack, and suddenly found himself drowning in a sea of beats and electronic heartbeats. Oscar-nominated composer and former Oingo Boingo frontman Danny Elfman hosted a Q&A; session that was open to the public at the Warner Brothers Records building in Burbank, Calif. This event preceded the Dark Shadows premiere on May 11, which is the fourteenth film that Elfman has scored for director Tim Burton.

Composer Danny Elfman has written the score to Tim Burton's "Dark Shadows," starring Johnny Depp, natch. It probably sounds a little like the music featured here (though you can actually hear it here). However, what's likely a bit more interesting than the original score, is the soundtrack to Burton's comedic '70s-set vampire tale based off a 1960s ABC soap opera about a family tormented by strange supernatural occurrences. Cradle of Filth will release a two-disc orchestral album called  Midnight In The Labyrinth on April 21st, Record Store Day. Influenced by composers such as Jerry Goldsmith , Danny Elfman , and Hans Zimmer the outing will feature the most requested tracks from the band's first four albums, including "Funeral In Carpathia," "The Twisted Nails Of Faith," and "Summer Dying Fast."  In other news, the band is at work on a new album, expected out around Halloween.

Η καλή μουσική άλλωστε είναι πάντα επίκαιρη. 40. Micachu & the Shapes/ London Sinfonietta - Chopped & Screwed Ο δεύτερος δίσκος των Micachu είναι μια ζωντανή ηχογράφηση της μπάντας μαζί με την μικρή ορχήστρα του Λονδίνου. Μοιάζει με soundtrack τέλους του κόσμου, φοβερά ατμοσφαιρικό, μυστήριο, δυσοίωνο και περίεργο. Η μπάντα ακούγεται σα να έχει παγιδευτεί μέσα στο μάτι μιας μύγας, έχοντας μια ευρυγωνική, κάπως διεστραμμένη και σατανική άποψη για τον κόσμο.
