• Arjun Vagale – Danger Mouse
India’s own Arjun Vagale just dropped his newest EP, Danger Mouse and it’s nothing short of a Tech-House bomb!  The EP is exactly what you would expect from the massive producer: dark, hypnotic and brilliant.  Arjun Vagale’s talent shines bright throughout the entire EP but I’ve taken a partcular liking to the title-track, Danger Mouse.... • The Black Keys [El Camino]
One listen through the Black Key’s seventh studio album El Camino will tell you a lot about where the they’re at in their careers. The album is 37 minutes and 42 seconds of catchy, well composed, highly produced, straight up good rock and roll. Since producer Danger Mouse first signed on for their fifth album [...]

  • Coming Soon - 2012's Albums Worth Waiting Fo ..
Returning this year are familiar faces armed with a new collection of songs. Looking ahead, here are a selection of those to be most excited about. MAJOR LAZER “Now that people know what Major Lazer is we can skip a lot of the ground work,” beams the globe-trotting chameleonic don of dance Diplo, who makes up one-half of neo-dancehall outfit Major Lazer alongside fidget-house producer Switch. The dynamic duo dropped debut ‘Guns Don’t Kill People - Lazers Do’ in mid-2009, a storming collaborative frenzy that fused authentic Jamaican riddims with modern bass-heavy hip-hop. Its successor, the Philadelphian explains, is set ...

  • [INDIE/ELECTRO] Electric Guest – “This Head ..
I always get a refreshing feeling whenever I discover good new music. It’s especially gratifying when that music is great. That’s the case with Los Angeles electro-soul duo Asa Taccone and Matthew Compton, better known as Electric Guest. Their music is super catchy, upbeat, and original; most likely due to the fact that Danger Mouse [...]

  • Electric Guest – This Head I Hold
I know nothing about Electric Guest. Word on the street is their debut album, titled Mondo, is produced by Danger Mouse. This is note-worthy for a handful of reasons, but generally because everything Danger Mouse touches turns to gold. He formed Gnarls Barkley. He formed Broken Bells. Remember that mashup album of Jay-Z’s The Black Album and The Beatles’ White Album? That was him too. He just knows how to put together hit records, whether or not they appeal to the mainstream masses. Anyways, check out his work with Electric Guest — sounds promising to me. • Bloggy Goodness: Wilco – The Video
Over the last few years HT faves Wilco have launched their own music festival, started their own label, played innovative tours in their hometown of Chicago and even sold their own brand of coffee, but the one thing that they haven’t done, at least since 1999, is make a music video. That changed yesterday as Jeff Tweedy & Co.  released a new animated video for the tune Dawned On Me, but this isn’t your straight up clip. For their first video in over a decade the band teamed up with the folks at King Features  for an animated video ...

The enigma that is Norah Jones continues to melt even the coldest hearts.
