A Malayasian songstress who’s got an insane sense for instrumentation and subtleness, every song she releases is a complete pleasure to hear. You read that right; this is music you hear…you don’t just listen to it. She’s got some Imogen Heap, some Joni Mitchell…some Bjork? Whatever it is, it’s phenomenal. Knowing this, I was pretty surprised to see them on the tracklist for “ Come As You Are: A 20th Anniversary Tribute To Nirvana ’s Nevermind ” beside a majority of heavier, harder hitting bands. That being said, I was not surprised to hear The Album Leaf turning in the best cover (by far) of the bunch. At least four strike my mind as being released this year alone - all marking the two decades since the record with the familiar floating baby first hit stores unceremoniously on a September Tuesday back in 1991. Nirvana - "Nevermind" 2CD Deluxe Edition CD ..If the deluxe edition of Nirvana's seminal 1991 disc Nevermind had come out prior to 2004's With the Lights Out box set, it would have broken new ground. Unfortunately, the bonus material on this new 2CD set is an anti-climactic snooze-fest that will likely be of interest only to Nirvana completists. Jumping in - Disc One contains a remastered version of the original 13 tracks from Nevermind along with the b-sides from the "Smells Like Teen Spirit", "Lithium", "Come as You Are" and "In Bloom" CD singles.
