Coheed and Cambria is an American rock band from New York, formed in 1995. The band was originally named "Shabütie"; however, the name was changed to "Coheed and Cambria" when drummer Nate Kelley departed. The band incorporates aspects of progressive rock, punk rock, heavy metal and ... Read More

  • Lovedrug – Pretend You’re Alive (2004)
I found myself pleasantly surprised by the majority of Lovedrug’s debut, Pretend You’re Alive. With no idea what I had in store, I popped the disc into my computer for the first of quite a few enjoyable spins. Michael Shepard’s vocals at times call to mind, in tone only, of bands like Coheed & Cambria and The Mars Volta — [...]

  • Jack White, Skrillex, Dave Matthews Band: Yo ..
The Hangout Music Fest is only two years old, but it's already got some big lineup scores: The 2012 event features Jack White, Skrillex, and Dave Matthews Band, as well as Wilco, fest mainstays String Cheese Incident, the Flaming Lips performing Dark Side of the Moon , and Yelawolf. This year the fest runs from May 18 through 20 at Gulf Shores, Alabama (and, yes, Alabama Shakes are booked on this bill, too) where there'll be two big stages on the beach, an additional stage (not on the beach, we presume), and an air-conditioned dance tent. The rest of ...

Pop Punk/Rock/Alternative/Emo ’s Coheed and Cambria Second Stage Turbine Blade 10th Anniversary listening party was a success! In fact, it was the busiest PPRAE has ever been! The room size surpassed the time we were interviewed for  Turntable.FM’s Room of the Week ! I’m so grateful for the new memories I now have from all the wonderful stories everyone shared! Definitely gonna revive the A Thousand Torches room to follow The Broken Radio  on Friday nights, like we used to. It’s so much fun to share tunes and conversation with fellow fans, in real-time ...

It’s been 10 years, to the day (according to Wikipedia), that the album which completely dominated the past decade of my life, was released. Coheed and Cambria’s debut record, Second Stage Turbine Blade , got me to turn the radio off. I swear, SSTB was a gateway drug. I discovered so much music through it, hell- I discovered my area had our own scene! Hudson Valley, NY.  I was 15 when my close friend’s older brother assisted him in sending me select songs over AIM file transfer- to get me away from Nu Metal and boy bands. They ...

  • Coheed And Cambria Still Working On New Song ..
Coheed And Cambria have been working on new music for months now, following the announcement of a lineup change. You can check out a tweet from drummer Josh Eppard regarding the band’s progress below by clicking “Read More.” Big day at the studio today.  @ blzjames  is here w/ us and were getting into fleshing some of these new songs out. It was a great week and  While I know were pretty pumped for the game tomorrow (it’s basically a holliday) were excited to hear these tunes come to life next week!

probrucer : If you’re driving on America’s highways over the next few weeks and think you see five of your favorite pop-punk/post-hardcore bandleaders in the vehicle next to you, you are probably correct! The all-acoustic “Where’s The Band?” tour is currently out for its fourth iteration, with solo sets from returning upperclassmen Chris Conley (Saves the Day), Matt Pryor (The Get Up Kids, The New Amsterdams), and Anthony Raneri (Bayside) as well as freshman participants Ace Enders (The Early November, I Can Make A Mess Like Nobody’s Business) and Evan Weiss (Into It. Over It.). We ...

jesskilgannon : Ten Awesome Artists Coheed Fans Might Recognize The Coheed and Cambria universe is constantly fed on input from artists and creators who work outside of the immediate “inner circles”. I’ve always found the realm of all things Coheed to be a rich source of imagery and new art discoveries, so I wanted to share a few of my favorites. The ten artists featured here have made iconic contributions to the Fence, so take a minute to browse some of their other delicious work! 1. Brian Ewing is perhaps my favorite visual artist of all time. He has created ...

Westland covering "A Favor House Atlantic" by Coheed and Cambria : Very cute! Funny thing is, just a few days ago a friend of mine won a contest where he could pick a song for Transit to cover. We discussed how cool it would be to hear them take on this very song! I can’t recollect hearing any other bands cover the 2003 break-out single. This was posted 14 hours ago… The world works in mysterious ways! Time to check out Westland’s original material.

  • The Top 20 Albums of 2011
#20 Russian Circles - Empros Empros was released on October 25 and just like that, in one fell swoop, Russian Circles made all other instrumental post-rock/metal bands completely obsolete. Good riddance, there were too many of them anyway. Buy it. #19 Junius - Reports From the Threshold of Death The missing link between Deftones and Coldplay. Yes, I mean that in a good way. Stop looking at me like that. Buy it. #18 Red Fang - Murder the Mountains In a year that gave us no new Melvins or Big Business albums (only a slightly disappointing single by the latter), Red Fang ...
