JUDGEMENT DAY Sign with Minus Head Records; ..Judgement Day, the Oakland based trio that NPR described as "a mix of progressive rock and classical with strings played through distortion pedals and other effects", have signed on with the eclectic Bay Area label minus Head Records for a July 31 release of 'Polar Shift'. Listen to Modest Mouse Perform New Song, "He ..It’s been a while since we’ve heard from Modest Mouse, but during their recent performance at the Frost Revival Festival in Palo Alto, Calif., the indie rock veterans played a new song called “Heart of Mine.” The performance conjures news from over a year ago that Big Boi would be producing the band’s next album, but album details or a potential release date have yet to be released. Phil Lesh Telstar Night at Terrapin Crossroa ..When Grateful Dead/Furthur bassist Phil Lesh first revealed his plan to build a Bay Area venue, one of the more unorthodox events Lesh mentioned the club would host were dubbed “Telstar.” Lesh explained that on these nights he would put together a band for an evening of free-form improvisation.
