New OHMphrey Album – Posthaste – Due April 4 ..OHMphrey , a prog-heavy group featuring Kris Myers, Joel Cummins and Jake Cinninger of Umphrey’s McGee along with Chris Poland and Robertino Pagliari of OHM, will release their second album – Posthaste – on April 10. Bombadil - LaundromatHere's a semi-new song I came across recently while I was perusing through the latest BIRP! for December. I think what immediately stood out to me when I first listened to this one is the slow melodic beat that seems to march on and buildup throughout this one. And of course once the harmonica started playing I was completely sold. This four-piece band out of Durham, North Carolina began playing together while they were students at Duke University. More To Explore: BombadilI've talked about Durham, NC folk-rock outfit Bombadil before. I was a big fan of their 2009 album Tarpits and Canyonlands , but I'm afraid you didn't all get the point. So I thought I'd bring them to your attention again. The band have a new album on the way. All That The Rain Promises has been set for a November 8th release. It's another collection of catchy roots-influenced tracks on the themes of ordinary everyday life. Worth picking up.Snob's Music14 October 2011
