On May 19 and 20 in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park, Superfly Presents will stage the first annual The Great Googa Mooga , an event bringing together approximately 75 food vendors, 35 brewers, 30 winemakers and 20 live music performances. The Topshelf Records show, our Making Moves showcase with Motion City Soundtrack, and the Giant Steps Productions show with Look Mexico were all amazing. Kinks by RUBBING ALCOHOL [ bandcamp ] Caught this song courtesy of MOKB  Blog Radio on XMU right before my free year subscription expired (argh!).  A side project of Val Loper of Bear Hands , Rubbing Alcohol has a free 2 song EP on their bandcamp page produced by Ayad Al Adhamy of Passion Pit .  The bands first shows ever are coming up in a couple of weeks in the NYC.  Oddly enough, something about the vocals in this song remind me of The Romantics from the 80s.
