Alla faccia della crisi economica e della crisi del disco, Pensieri Cannibali apre il suo personale negozio di dischi! E perlomeno apre una nuova rubrica. Non che qualcuno mi abbia chiesto di farla o ce ne fosse effettivamente bisogno, però ho deciso comunque di iniziarla. Così, per fare il punto della situazione dei dischi usciti negli ultimi giorni/settimane. Chairlift - SomethingAround 2007, I read an article in Uncut magazine detailing the rise of the Brooklyn indie music scene following the splendid rise of king-of-the-hipsters Collective">Animal Collective. There was a short feature at the end recommending a few “similar” artists (in retrospect, not many of the band’s in this list shared anything in common with AC except for the city in which they inhabited). 2011: Μουσικά κομμάτια, part 1Επιτέλους, ήρθε η στιγμή που περιμένατε! (Το ξέρουμε ότι δυσκολευόσασταν να κοιμηθείτε τελευταία!) Μετά από επανειλημμένες ακροάσεις σε λίγες εκατοντάδες δίσκους και μερικές χιλιάδες τραγούδια, μπορούμε πλέον να βάλουμε καπάκι στο μουσικό 2011 και να δούμε τι μας έμεινε περισσότερο. Και μας έμειναν, όπως θα δείτε σε αυτό και τα επόμενα ποστς, πολλά. Τα κομμάτια που μας άρεσαν ήταν πάρα πολλά οπότε το να ξεχωρίσουμε (και να γράψουμε για) τα κορυφαία 60 δεν ήταν καθόλου εύκολη δουλειά, αλλά δεν θέλαμε να αδικήσουμε κανένα απ'όλα όσα μας κράτησαν συντροφιά σε μια πολύ γεμάτη χρονιά. Week 44: Bat for Lashes (Fur and Gold)Last night I decided to rent Hellboy 2: The Golden Army. I’d wanted to see the movie for a long time since I found the first Hellboy pretty enjoyable. A major theme of the film is the existence of magical beings in our world and how they’re often in danger of disappearing. Happy Hunting - New WavesHappy Hunting is a new multi-instrumentalist boy-girl duo from north-west London who create sensually brooding dark flotation-tank pop. Like all the best pop it’s not straightforward, crafted as it is from eerie atmospherics as much as obvious hooks. Having started the project last summer Happy Hunting released their debut EP Pitchblack through Bandcamp ( here ) back in November 2011.
