The Mars Volta might be considered the 'b team' now that At The Drive-In are back, but they're still looking to bring tinnitus to the UK this July. The band will play a one-off show at the HMV forum on July 15th to promote their latest album, Noctourniquet . Tickets go on sale Friday May 25th at 9am.

Sparta have announced their first tour dates in a number of years. The band did reunite in their hometown last year but haven't left the state since 2007 . The band is, of course, the post- At the Drive-In project from guitarist Jim Ward . They last released Threes and in the intervening years, Ward released solo material under his own name and as Sleepercar . Of course, it was pretty hard to miss Ward over the last few months, after ATDI reunited in January . The shows will feature support from UK-based "cut-and-paste" artist Ki:Theory .
