GOSSIP – A Joyful Noise(Sony) Beth Ditto roars her way through Gossip’s poppiest songs yet With each of their last couple of albums, Gossip’s sound has moved in more of a pop direction, and their latest one seems sort of like a culmination, the ultimate fusion of the band’s disco sound with its punk attitude. Gossip Return With New AlbumDance-punks Gossip are set to release their new album 'A Joyful Noise' on May 14th. Taking time off after the relentless touring which followed 2009's 'Music For Men', Gossip have now marked out their return. The band have completed work on their fifth studio album, which will be released later this year. 'A Joyful Noise' drops on May 14th, and finds Gossip seemingly move into a pop mode. Brian Higgins (Kylie Minogue, Pet Shop Boys, Girls Aloud) stepped in on production, while sessions visited both Xenomania and KBC Studios in Portland, Oregon.
