Mother/Father, I Want To...

Labels can always be deceiving, and the past couple of bands that have labeled themselves with the "psychedelic" monitor have thrown me off. Nashville's Mother/Father , to me, are far from psychedelic, man. They have a sound that combines subtle Interpolian dark New Wavey-ness with a distinctly pop savvy of Tears For Fears.

They don't sound like the typical band you would expect to come out of the home of Music Row. MP3: Mother/Father - Light Thieves MP3: Phoenix - 1901 (Mother/Father Remix).
